FOR VILLVETTE, THE OFFLINE GUIDE TO NORDIC FOLKLORE
Villvette collects no personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and nothing to buy; the app requests no Android permissions and never opens a network connection. What you read, search for and bookmark is known only to your handset.
Villvette is made and published by AM Sajovec d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia, which releases its apps under the name SilverCove Games. Under the General Data Protection Regulation that company would be the controller of any personal data the app processed. It processes none, so the role has nothing attached to it.

Reference apps usually learn a great deal about a reader: which entries were opened, how long each was held on screen, what was searched for, where the reading stopped. That history is a decent portrait of a person's curiosity, and Villvette does not build one.
No entry view is counted, no reading time is measured, nothing you type into the search box is stored or sent anywhere, and there is no history screen because there is no history. Close the app and the only thing it knows is what you deliberately kept.
One small file in the app's private storage, holding what you chose to keep:
Nothing in it identifies you: no name, email address, contacts, photos, location, advertising identifier or device identifier. The file stays on the phone and we never see it.
All the creature pages, both translations, the glossary and the clue sets for the guessing game are compiled into the app. Nothing is fetched while you read, no entry is loaded on demand, and no daily creature arrives from anywhere. This is also why the app works identically with the handset in flight mode.
Villvette describes what people in the Nordic countries told, believed and did about these beings, drawn from published collections of traditional material. It is a cultural guide, not a claim that any of it is real, and not advice of any kind — including where it records old protective customs, which are recorded as history rather than recommended as practice.
If you think an entry has mangled a source or reads wrongly in Slovenian, please write; corrections to this sort of material are welcome and get made.
No advertising library, so nothing interrupts an entry and no advertising profile is built from what you read. No analytics library and no crash reporter, so no usage events, session logs or crash traces leave the handset. No billing library, so no creature, realm or glossary section sits behind a price, and no payment data exists. No account, no sync, no comments, no sharing of your bookmarks with anyone.
Villvette requests no Android runtime permissions: not camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notifications.
None. The app opens no connection to our servers or to anyone else's, so nothing leaves the handset to be intercepted and nothing arrives that could change its behaviour after installation.
Installing or updating Villvette is a transaction between you and Google, handled under Google's own privacy policy and its agreement with you. What reaches us is the aggregated, anonymous developer console view — installs, ratings, country totals — which identifies nobody.
If a future version ever touches the network, this page is rewritten before that version is published and the change stated plainly.
The entries describe traditional tales that can be eerie — that is the nature of the material — but they are written as folklore for a general audience, without gore or imagery unsuitable for the app's age rating. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children, and there are no adverts, no chat, no sharing, no links out and nothing to buy.
The General Data Protection Regulation and Slovenia's Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2) give you the right to ask whether your personal data is processed, obtain a copy, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. Every one of those needs data in our hands, and there is none — we will confirm that in writing if it is useful for your records.
Your bookmarks and game results are removed by clearing them in the app, clearing the app's data in Android settings, or uninstalling Villvette. Nothing survives elsewhere, because nothing was ever copied.
Complaints may be addressed to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec, ip-rs.si) or to the supervisory authority where you live, though a note to us usually settles things sooner.
This page is updated only when the app changes in a way that affects privacy, and the date near the top changes with it. Builds already installed keep behaving exactly as described.
An entry that reads oddly, a source you think we have mangled, a privacy question: north@amsajovec.beauty, read by the person who wrote the app, usually answered within a couple of days. Pišete lahko tudi v slovenščini.
This policy covers the Android application Villvette (com.sagalore.villvette) and no other software.
